Arduino MKR1000 with Li-Ion Battery: connector and power options

Customer:

Thank you for the offer. We only need one power supply option, and we’d prefer the one with rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and charger. I’m wondering if the batteries will come with appropriate cables to connect the power supply to the MKR1000 board. I’d appreciate advice and guidance, as I don’t have much experience in this area.

Zanima me hoćemo li s baterijama dobiti i adekvatne kablove za spajanje napajanja s MKR1000 pločicom. Molio bih Vas savjet i uputu jer u nemam mnogo iskustva u ovome području.

Thank you for the offer, but due to project requirements we cannot use this type of battery. I think we’ll need to implement the power supply through the shield instead, so I’ll wait for your colleague’s response. Thank you for your effort!

Soldered Support:

If you connect the battery to the JST connector on the MKR1000 board, the carrier (blue) board will also work. Through the shield (carrier board) you can connect to the terminal or DC jack connector - just don’t use both at the same time.

If you have any further questions, we’re here to help.
