Can Inkplate replace an iPad display for outdoor sunlight readability

Customer:

I’m looking for an external E-Ink display to share my iPad’s display. On a boat in sunlight, I can’t see anything on the iPad display, which is why I need a solution. Is this possible with Inkplate?

Soldered Support:

It’s not possible to use Inkplate as a direct replacement for an iPad display. Inkplate is a DIY device that requires you to program it yourself to get the functionality you need. I’m not aware of any e-paper ready-to-use displays that would serve this purpose.
