Controlling 6V water pump from 3.3V micro:bit signal

Customer:

I want to build an automatic plant watering system. I have a micro:bit running at 3.3V, a humidity sensor at 3V, and a 6V water pump. The micro:bit will send a signal to the pump, but they don’t have the same operating voltage. What else do I need?

Imam microbit 3,3V,senzor vlaznosti 3V i crpku za vodu od 6V.Sto mi je jos potrebno buduci da microbit salje signal crpki,posto nemaju isti radni napon?

Soldered Support:

You only need a MOSFET transistor to activate the pump. See the IRF540N MOSFET transistor and how to use it as a switch: the connection method is identical for micro:bit.
