Croduino with Ethernet Shield power requirements from USB

Customer:

When connecting a Croduino and Ethernet Shield, is it correct to power both boards from a USB port (from a PC), which I’m also using for communication? I’m not sure if that’s safe - I don’t want to overload the Croduino’s power supply. If that’s not recommended, I would power the Ethernet Shield from an external 5VDC supply and the Croduino from USB.

LP,

Soldered Support:

Both boards power directly from the USB port on your computer, so none of the Croduino’s hardware participates in that power delivery. USB 2.0 can provide 500mA, which is completely fine for Croduino + Ethernet Shield. If you add additional components, check their power consumption. For your current setup, everything is fine.

Ako budete spajali neke dodatne stvari, provjerite potrošnju. Trenutno - sve okej!
