Dasduino purple LED on D8 stopped working after code upload

Customer:

I received a Dasduino beginner set. On first power-up, the LED connected to pin D8 was fading in and out with a purple color. After uploading my first program, the fade effect stopped and it just stayed lit (as expected, since the code was replaced). However, the next day the LED stopped working entirely. No matter what I send to pin D8, it has no effect. Is it possible the LED burned out, or am I sending the signals incorrectly?

Hvala i lp

Soldered Support:

To control the LED, check the examples in the Arduino IDE under File > Examples > Examples for Dasduino Core > WS2812 Built-in library. You can see how to control the LED using the WS2812 object. This should work correctly.

That’s it, it works with WS2812! Thanks for the guidance, I’ll keep experimenting with the library.
