easyC connector standard and compatibility with SparkFun qwiic and Adafruit STEMMA QT

Customer:

I’m new to DIY and purchased a 2ch relay module and potentiometer with easyC connectors. I don’t have access to the easyC ecosystem where I am, so I need to connect these modules to other hardware. I know adapter cables are available but they’re expensive to order individually. Can you tell me what connector standard easyC uses so I can source compatible cables locally?

Soldered Support:

easyC is compatible with SparkFun qwiic and Adafruit STEMMA QT, so you should be able to use those cables, which should be widely available in the US.

Alternatively, if your breakout boards have VCC, GND, SCL and SDA pins, you can connect directly to your microcontroller’s power and I2C lines. easyC is essentially just an I2C connector. Check your board’s pinout for SCL and SDA connections. Note that UPDI, 3V3 and GND pins are for the on-board ATTiny microcontroller and won’t be useful for this purpose.

easyC uses JST-SH compatible connectors with a pin spacing of 1.00mm, commonly referred to as JST 4-pin connectors.
