Front light implementation for Inkplate 5 marine display

Customer:

I’m looking for an open source display for a marine application with NMEA data display, wireless connectivity, customizable interface, and waterproof construction. I also need a front light. Are there any thoughts on implementing a front light for the Inkplate? Has anyone else created a front light solution for it?

Soldered Support:

The Inkplate 5 does not have integrated front lighting. The Inkplate 6PLUS has a built-in front light and is available in versions with and without enclosure and battery.
