Hall effect sensor LM393 cycle computer implementation

Customer:

I have a question about the Hall effect sensor with LM393 that I purchased. I want to build a cycle computer to measure speed and distance travelled. I haven’t programmed before and tried searching online but couldn’t find code that would work for this. Do you have any code for a speedometer that works with a hall effect sensor that you could share? Or is this explained in a tutorial that I might have missed?

Puno hvala.

We don’t have documentation or code for that specifically, but searching for “Arduino cycle computer” online will show many relevant projects. One example: Arduino Bike Speedometer : 16 Steps (with Pictures) - Instructables The approach depends on your wheel diameter. Essentially, you measure the time between two detections from the hall effect sensor and calculate the speed from that.

Primjer: Arduino Bike Speedometer : 16 Steps (with Pictures) - Instructables
Sve ovisi na kraju o promjeru kotača Vašeg bicikla, a jednostavno mjerite vrijeme između dvije detektcije putem hall effect senzora i računate brzinu.
