Inkplate 10 display stuck on previous version after running for days

Customer:

The code is still running and the serial port shows normal operation with debug information, but the panel will not update the display. If I reboot the panel via software or upload a new sketch, the screen remains stuck on a previous version with no e-ink update. The display only recovers if I remove power and reconnect it. It can work for up to a week updating every minute before this happens. Is there a way to hard-reset the panel in software? This is making it unusable as an always-on display since manual power cycling is required.

Soldered Support:

This could potentially be a loose flat-panel connection. Here’s how to check and reseat the flat cable connector on Inkplate 10:

  1. Turn off Inkplate
  2. Turn it over to locate the flat cable connector
  3. Carefully undo the latches which hold the connector in place - the flat cable connector is delicate and should not be creased or bent
  4. Disconnect the cable and then reinsert it, making sure it fits right, is straight and not crooked, and is fully inserted
  5. Close down the latches back in place
  6. Test to see if the display refreshes initially and check if the issue persists

Let me know if this resolves the problem.
