Soldered Support:
This could be a loose connection of the flat cable. Try carefully reconnecting it:
- Turn off Inkplate 10 completely
- Turn the device around and locate the flat cable connector
- Carefully pull the tabs on the connector up
- Remove the flat cable and then re-insert it
- Pull the tabs down and make sure the connection is secure
- Try the sketch again
Be careful not to bend the cable as it’s delicate. Let me know if this works.

Customer:
The Inkplate arrived in working condition but the display issue persists. I’m willing to replace the e-paper to fix it. What should I do?
Soldered Support:
These ePaper models are compatible with Inkplate 10:
ED097OC1
ED097OC4
ED097TC1
ED097TC2
Replacement should be straightforward - just connect via flat cable.
After you connect the new display, upload the Inkplate10_Factory_Programming_VCOM.ino sketch and set the VCOM and waveform for best display results (this sets the contrast and accuracy of the ePaper).
In this sketch:
- Remove the testPeripheral(); function call (line 124) to just set the VCOM and waveform
- Change the EEPROM offset (line 51) to some other number
- Upload the sketch and open Serial monitor at 115200
