Inkplate 10 examples not running after programming

Customer:

I received my Inkplate 10 and built and downloaded some of the examples: InkPlate10_Hourly_Weather_Station, Inkplate10_Grayscale, and Inkplate10_Black_And_White. After downloading the compiled code the unit doesn’t seem to run. Originally turning on would refresh the test screen it was shipped with, but after programming I can see the blue LED internally but no update on the LCD. The flash output shows successful programming:

Writing at … (100 %)
Wrote 3072 bytes (119 compressed) at in 0.0 seconds (effective 1755.4 kbit/s)…
Hash of data verified.
Leaving…
Hard resetting via RTS pin…

In the weather example it clears the screen immediately after the serial init, so I’m expecting the original screen to clear but I don’t see this when pressing the on or the wake buttons. Are there any build flags or settings I’m missing?

Soldered Support:

You may be using the wrong board definition. There is an older version and a newer version of Inkplate 10. The older one, called ‘e-Radionica Inkplate 10’, has a blue PCB. The newer one is called ‘Soldered Inkplate 10’ and has a purple PCB. A key difference between them is the way they communicate to the ePaper—the two versions have different GPIO expanders, which changes how everything works internally, so they require different board definitions.

To resolve your issue, update your board definitions to use the one for your particular version of Inkplate 10. For the latest board definitions for all Soldered boards, check this repository with detailed instructions in the README: GitHub - SolderedElectronics/Dasduino-Board-Definitions-for-Arduino-IDE · GitHub
