Inkplate 10 new version lacks touchpads, alternative wake methods

Customer:

I received an Inkplate 10 recently and the version I have does not have touch pads. Is there another way to wake and interact with the device in deep sleep mode apart from the wake button, such as wake-on-lan?

Soldered Support:

The current version of Inkplate 10 does not have touchpads. You can wake up from the wake button or other GPIO pins using esp_sleep_enable_ext0_wakeup or esp_sleep_enable_ext1_wakeup. See the ESP32 datasheet for specifics of these two different functions (they correspond to different pins). Using this you can connect an external device like a gesture/touch/proximity sensor or any kind of sensor you prefer which generates an interrupt that you can connect to one of the pins.
