Customer:
I’m looking for an outdoor display suitable for a clock with excellent direct sunlight viewability from many angles. The display needs to accept custom wireless messages from an Android phone. The clock will sometimes be in 100 degrees F direct sunlight, and I want to use it for car racing to display messages like “NEXT RACE: 13:30”. Is Inkplate 10 appropriate for this use case?

Inkplate 10 would fit your goals. It has great viewability outside in the sun because the displays effectively mimic ink on paper, and visibility is excellent from many angles.
It has built-in Bluetooth, WiFi and ESPNow so you can accept custom messages wirelessly, but you would need to write code for that functionality.
The display’s rated operating temperature is from 32 degrees F to 122 degrees F. However, we don’t recommend using it at such high heat because the black color on the ePaper attracts more heat and would cause potential damage to the screen, including possible permanent burn-in. Putting it in some shade would be the best option.
Excluding the high heat concern you noted, the screen would fit your needs.
