Inkplate 10 sketch upload fails on MacBook Pro with Sonoma and Arduino 2

Customer:

I’m having trouble getting my sketch uploaded to the Inkplate 10, though uploads work fine with a Pi. I’m an experienced developer with multiple IoT projects. I’ve tried many things, including new USB drivers for my Mac, including the Silicon ones with VMP that others recommend. I’m expecting an old USB 2.0 hub tomorrow based on reports that it fixes this issue. I have Arduino set up correctly and went through the Getting Started guide.

Soldered Support:

Try these approaches:

  1. Use Arduino legacy (version 1.8.x) from https://www.arduino.cc/en/software

  2. Lower the upload speed in the Tools menu to 115200.

  3. Serial drivers for Mac can cause problems. Check step 2 here: https://soldered.com/learn/ch340-driver-installation-croduino-basic3-nova2/ You can try removing the drivers and attempting the upload again.
