Customer:
I have two Inkplate 10 questions. Can I use the VIN + Ground pad to power the board? What voltage is allowed on that pad - is 5V the maximum? Also, is there a way to bypass the power-on switch and have the board always power on as soon as voltage is supplied?

Yes, VIN & GND are used to power the board and 5V is the maximum voltage allowed. There is a way to bypass the switch: you need to solder (short) the two pads where resistor R22 is located. Be careful when soldering because e-paper is very sensitive to temperature and you can easily damage it.

I soldered a wire between the power switch to always press it. Is that also fine, or can this cause harm and should I redo it?

That is fine. You will not damage your hardware, but we do not recommend it because you will have higher current consumption.
