Inkplate 2 battery voltage readout via Arduino library

Customer:

Is there a way to get the battery status (voltage) via the Arduino library for the Inkplate 2? I searched around but found nothing.

I’m trying to use it as a weather widget on my wall and am looking for some sort of indication that it’s time to charge the battery.

Soldered Support:

There isn’t a way to get the voltage from the Inkplate 2 battery programmatically, as it would require a voltage divider, which just wouldn’t fit on the PCB. You can make your own voltage divider which would be connected to the positive pad of the battery and to a GPIO pin, you could then read the analog voltage value from it to get the battery state. This is how it is done on other models, and the code is available here:
