Customer:
I’m trying to test example code from the GitHub repository. The code flashes without errors in the Arduino software, but once it reaches the RTS reset, the device doesn’t reset and the code doesn’t execute. Power cycling and pressing the reset button don’t help - I just get the static boot image that appears when first plugged in.

Soldered Support:
We’ve released a new version of the Inkplate library with updates for Inkplate 2 that may fix this issue. Please get the newest version from: GitHub - SolderedElectronics/Inkplate-Arduino-library: Inkplate family Arduino library. The easiest way to add e-paper to your project. · GitHub
If the issue persists, try reconnecting the flat cable that connects the ePaper to the main board. The connection can weaken during shipping. The flat cable is delicate, so handle it carefully.
To reconnect it:
- Disconnect the battery and/or USB-C cable and open the case.
- Detach the flat cable holder by gently pulling on the catch/release mechanism on both sides, one at a time, in the noted direction.
- Take the flat cable out, bending it as little as possible.
- Connect it back together and secure with the mechanism. Make sure the connection is solid.
- Upload the Black White Red example and test.
Let me know if either of these steps resolves the issue.
