Inkplate 4 MicroPython setup fails with AttributeError: type object 'Inkplate' has no attribute 'GFX'

Customer:

I cannot get Inkplate 4 to work with MicroPython. I also cannot find board definitions for Inkplate 4 in the Arduino board definitions, and ESP-IDF does not mention Inkplate 4 either. Is this working software for Inkplate 4?

I followed the guide at GitHub - SolderedElectronics/Inkplate-micropython: MicroPython driver for Soldered Inkplate devices · GitHub but some steps did not work.

When running:

python3 esptool.py –chip esp32 write_flash -z 0x1000 -v1.18.bin

I get:

Warning: Deprecated: Command 'write_flash' is deprecated. Use 'write-flash' instead.

I cannot get past this last step:

Soldered Support:

The MicroPython module for Inkplate 4 was written for a different model. For Inkplate 4, you should use our Arduino library instead:

The Arduino library is much more feature-packed. The MicroPython repository offers a basic implementation that was a code contribution which we attempted to fit to different Inkplate models.
