Inkplate 5 peripheral mode not displaying commands from Arduino Nano ESP32 BLE

Customer:

I’m trying to use Inkplate 5 in peripheral mode. I tested it with the Weather station example and it worked correctly. I downloaded Inkplate5V2_peripheral_mode with all attached libraries.

I soldered GND/RX/TX with wires and connected GND to GND, RX to TX, and TX to RX of the Arduino Nano ESP32 BLE.

When I connect Inkplate with my computer, Serial monitor shows output. I downloaded a simple code on my Arduino and it also shows serial output, but the Inkplate doesn’t display anything.

I tried to send commands directly to Inkplate via my computer’s Serial Monitor:

CLS
TXT 40 40 Bonjour
SHOW

Nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

Soldered Support:

Are you using the peripheral mode on the master branch of the GitHub repository of the library or the dev branch?

If you are using the dev branch, try sending these commands:

SerialPort.print("TS;0015;00;000C;300;400;50;1;TE\r\n");
SerialPort.print("TS;0026;00;0001;0;TE\r\n");

This should draw a filled circle and display it onto the screen as per the documentation.
