Customer:
I ordered an Inkplate 6 some time ago, but unfortunately I damaged the display. Since you mention these displays are recycled, I’m looking for information about the used display panel. I’m hoping to find an old device to salvage a working display for my Inkplate.

Soldered Support:
The Inkplate 6 panel and software is compatible with the ED060SC7 panel. You can search for that part number and it will work as a direct replacement - totally compatible. You can remove the panel from the PCB by heating it up with a hair dryer and unsticking it, but it will most likely crack when removing. This doesn’t matter as it’s defective anyway.
Customer:
It was my own fault. I was building an enclosure for my Inkplate 6 that holds both the display and a Soldered 10000mAh battery. I was too optimistic with the tolerances and held them very tight to the display - it cracked when I closed the lid. That information helps though. I see that this kind of display is offered on AliExpress. Do you know a European provider? I’m assuming Soldered doesn’t offer single displays, since I can’t find any in the shop.
Soldered Support:
We don’t supply e-Paper panels. You’ll have to find your own supplier - unofficially I recommend AliExpress and eBay for these kinds of parts.
Customer:
I think the Inkplate is actually a success story. The plate grabs data from an MQTT server every 3 minutes and the battery holds for 5 days with my current setup. I’ve only optimized for functionality so far, not for power saving. I estimate that with full power down during the night and power-down between 3-minute intervals, the battery should last around 30 days. Charging once a month seems like a good solution.
I’ve already ordered a replacement display on eBay and added two pictures - a real device and a FreeCAD screenshot - to show what your customers are building with your devices.

The Inkplate should definitely last for a month with deep sleep enabled. Just make sure to turn off the power LED via the switch on the back - it’s the power LED switch.
