Inkplate 6 GPIO Expander pin documentation mismatch

Customer:

The examples for Inkplate 6 include examples for using additional IO pins, but the examples mention pins with different designations than those I see on my recently purchased unit. I assume the documentation available on the website (inkplate.readthedocs.io) shows images and explanations for older models?

Since the documentation mentions “do not use pins XY because you could damage the display”, could you please provide a link to the page that explains which pins can and which cannot/must not be used on my model?

U primjerima za Inkplate 6 nalaze se i oni za upotrebu dodatnih IO … medjutim u primjerima se spominju pinovi koji su drugacije oznaceni od onih koje vidim na primjerku koji sam nedavno od vas nabavio. Pretpostavljam da dokumentacija dostupna na web stranicama (inkplate.readthedocs.io) pokazuje slike i pojasnjenja vezana uz starije modele?

Kako se dokumentaciji spominje “nemoje koristiti pinove XY jer mozete ostetiti display” mozete li mi molim vas dati link na stranicu gdje se pojasnjava koji se pinovi mogu a koji ne mogu/ne smiju koristiti na modelu kojeg imam (https://soldered.com/product/soldered-inkplate-6-6-e-paper-board/)?

For this, you should check the schematic. If I understand correctly, you have a newer Inkplate 6 model. Here is the link to its schematic:

Click on ‘More Pages’ below to see the entire document (or download it from GitHub). Here’s what you can see from the schematic (last page):

IO expander 1: Pins P1_3 to P1_7 are completely free
IO expander 2: All pins are free

These should be marked exactly that way on the board.

Za ovo najbolje pogledaj shemu, ako sam dobro shvatio, imaš noviji model Inkplate-a 6. Evo link za njegovu shemu:

Dolje klikni na ‘More Pages’ da vidiš cijeli dokument (ili ga preuzmi preko githuba). Evo što se može vidjeti iz sheme (zadnja str.):

IO expander 1: Pinovi P1_3 do P1_7 su potpuno slobodni IO expander 2: Svi pinovi su slobodni
Oni bi na ploči trebali biti označeni na točno taj način.

Nadam se da ovo pomaže, ako imaš još nekih pitanja, slobodno se javi.
