Customer:
I found a replacement charger part: MCP73831T-2DCI/OT. The charger in my Inkplate 6 is MCP73831T-2ACI/OT. Will this slightly different part work? Looking at the datasheet, they use different charging currents.

Soldered Support:
You can use that replacement part. The difference is just when the charger will stop and start charging. The main condition is that the charger’s output voltage and current are the same, and they are.
Customer:
Would my replacement part result in over or under charging? Would that be an issue?
Soldered Support:
It won’t result in over or under charging because the charging current and voltage are the same. The difference between them is just when the charger starts charging. For example, one will start charging at 50mA and the other at 100mA.
