The display has detached from the adhesive strips - it looks promising! Now I want to use it with MicroPython. Do I have to reverse engineer the display stuff from your Arduino driver or do you have some snippets already started? I’m quite familiar with MicroPython itself on the ESP32.

I have the beginnings of a driver. So far it displays a test pattern. You can find it at GitHub - tve/micropython-inkplate6: MicroPython driver for the Inkplate 6 · GitHub
Help welcome! BTW, are you sure your Arduino driver as it stands on GitHub functions?
Soldered Support:
Very nice! I am impressed by the amount of work in this short time.
Yes, we are sure the Arduino driver works. It can be considered a v1.0 release. We are likely going to make changes to it in the future, but right now we are focusing on the documentation and more examples/functionality. Why would you ask - did you find any error?
Note: there’s a MicroPython version of Adafruit GFX that should be helpful to you: GitHub - adafruit/micropython-adafruit-gfx: Pixel graphics drawing library for MicroPython. · GitHub

Challenge accepted! See updated GitHub - tve/micropython-inkplate6: MicroPython driver for the Inkplate 6 · GitHub
The demo produces working output. There’s lots of work left to do and as you can see from the photo the waveform stuff isn’t there yet. But the basics work.
Do you have any docs on the waveforms or is it all trial and error based on what others have published on the web?

It’s a deal! It’s good progress, I will keep an eye on the repo!
No unfortunately not, there is no public info about waveform and that was the hard part of making the Inkplate work. At last, we reverse engineered the waveform from Kindle device because all waveforms we have found online didn’t produce satisfactory results.
Customer:
FYI, I updated the font support to use the highly compressed u8g2 fonts. I think at this point the driver is pretty much complete.

I took myself some holiday recently. Yesterday, I have successfully run the MicroPython on the Inkplate - the files were downloaded 8th of August. That took too much waiting!
I am going to do some testing and ask my colleague to do the same. When tested a bit more, if you agree, we would like to publish it onto our official GitHub and post some updates about its support for Inkplate. We will write the documentation afterwards at Inkplate MicroPython — Inkplate docs documentation
Keep in touch, my answers are going to be more often now and I am going to provide some feedback on the forum, too.
