Inkplate 6 Plus peripheral mode image loading returns #H(0)

Customer:

I have my Inkplate 6 Plus set up for Micropython and it’s working. I’d like to try peripheral mode for my next project. Running the example, I get a response on the correct COM port but none of the commands are doing anything on the device. Do I need to install or revert to another firmware for this to work?

To enable peripheral mode, you need to upload the Factory Programming example to the Inkplate. If you’ve already uploaded this example, ensure that the board is correctly set up. For instance, if you have a blue board, you need to select the e-radionica Inkplate board in your settings.

I have this working and I can now send commands to draw shapes and text using a Python script. However, I am having trouble drawing images. I have a bitmap image named ‘image1.bmp’ in the root directory of my SD card which is formatted as FAT32. I am converting the path to hex as instructed but getting the response of ‘#H(0)’ which indicates the image failed to load. I know the card, reader and image are fine because I can display the image using both the Arduino and Micropython examples. Any suggestions on how I can do this with peripheral mode?

Soldered Support:

You need to use a 24-bit BMP format. If not, could you clarify the format of the picture you’re using?
