Inkplate 6 Plus touchscreen without MCP23017

Customer:

I received three Inkplate 6 Plus units without MCP23017 chips. I am unable to get the touchscreen to work and based on the esphome code it appears to rely on that chip.

Does the touchscreen depend on the missing chips?

Soldered Support:

The touchscreen doesn’t need a second MCP23017 IC. That IC is only for extra GPIO pins. Did you try to run our example for touchscreen? If you didn’t try our example, please try to run it and check if everything works.
