Customer:
I uploaded a sketch to my Inkplate 6 using Arduino, but the screen no longer updates after the first upload. Can I get the factory firmware to reset the unit to factory fresh state and troubleshoot from there?

Soldered Support:
This is likely a board definition issue. Which board definition are you using: “e-Radionica Inkplate 6” or “Soldered Inkplate 6”? Please try the other one. Upload the Basic > Black and white sketch for your Inkplate - this should always update the screen.

Switching to e-Radionica fixed it, everything works now. I’m planning to use the Inkplate with ESPHome at some point. Can I always re-flash it using Arduino IDE afterwards if needed?
Soldered Support:
Yes, you can re-flash Inkplate with Arduino by uploading an example Inkplate sketch. Using ESPHome won’t change how code runs on the device - you can think of ESPHome firmware as just a very thorough Arduino sketch.
