Inkplate 6 v1.2.0 schematic and Gerber files location

Customer:

I bought an Inkplate 6 to learn about electronics. After receiving it, I checked the GitHub repository at Inkplate-6-hardware/Schematics, Gerber, BOM/v1.0 at master · SolderedElectronics/Inkplate-6-hardware · GitHub, but the schematic and Gerber files look different from what I received. Looking at the Gerber files, the microcontroller position is different. Is there a different version? Can I get the schematic and Gerber files that match the hardware I received?

Soldered Support:

Can you check the version number on the back of your PCB, near the corner? Once I know the version, I can send you the corresponding files.

Customer:

It says 1.2.0. That would be great if you can provide me with the schematic and Gerber files so I can learn electronics better.

Soldered Support:

Here’s the repository for your version: Soldered-Inkplate-6-hardware-design/CAD/V1.2.0 at main · SolderedElectronics/Soldered-Inkplate-6-hardware-design · GitHub

And the Gerber files are here: Soldered-Inkplate-6-hardware-design/OUTPUTS/V1.2.0 at main · SolderedElectronics/Soldered-Inkplate-6-hardware-design · GitHub

These should match your board. You were looking at an older repository, which has since been updated on our site.

Customer:

Now I can access both the schematic and Gerber files. I have one quick question: do you have a tutorial on how to attach the e-paper display to the PCB, for example using glue?

Soldered Support:

For attaching the ePaper to the PCB, we use a double-sided tape: TESA-4970-9-50M. It’s placed on the PCB first, then the ePaper is attached to it.
