I am experiencing an issue with my Inkplate 6COLOR and would appreciate your help in diagnosing it.
The Inkplate still powers on and works when running solely from the battery. However, the battery appears to be almost empty: the display no longer performs a complete refresh.
The strange part is that the battery does not seem to charge when I connect the Inkplate to USB:
* With USB connected and the battery disconnected, the Inkplate works normally and my PC detects it.
* With USB connected and the battery connected, my PC does not detect the inkplate, unless if I plug in the USB first and then connect the battery again.
* However, the charge LED does not turn on and the battery does not appear to charge.
* I have also tried a different USB-C cable, with the same result.
* When using the battery alone, the Inkplate still starts up, but the display refresh is no longer completed correctly.
I suspect that the battery may have become deeply discharged, but I do not have a multimeter to check its voltage.
Could you please advise what might be causing this and whether there is a way to recover/recharge the battery? If the battery or charging circuit is defective, please let me know what you would recommend.
