Is there an estimated lifespan for the epaper display in number of refreshes? I’m wondering how often I can update a day without concerns.

E-Paper displays have a finite lifespan and vary slightly between units. As a rough estimate, the panel will last approximately two years if you’re refreshing it once every 30 minutes.
You can extend the lifespan by implementing refreshing only during waking hours—only when you’ll actually see the display—to reduce the total number of refreshes. However, results vary: some panels last for years with frequent refreshing without issues, while others may have a shorter lifespan. Your mileage will depend on your specific unit and usage pattern.
