I’m new to Arduino programming and need to set up an Inkplate 6PLUS as an image and text viewer with scrolling through images via touch or button control. The images should update over WiFi once a week, with WiFi only active during scheduled updates. I need to run it on battery with maximum battery life, and ideally be able to turn the backlight off at all times. Do you have examples for this or guidance on how to implement it?

If we can make this work, we would be interested in purchasing multiple units.

We have many examples in our library for Inkplate. I suggest you try the Inkplate_Web_Pictures example for Inkplate6PLUS and add the features you need. We also have examples for deep sleep where you can put Inkplate boards to sleep where it consumes only about 25uA and it can work on battery for a few months.
You can look at our other examples to figure out how it all works and then try to use all the features you need and make one code with all of them. We can help you with code if you do not understand something.
