What are the differences and advantages or disadvantages between the glass and the plastic panel?

Soldered Support:
Both panels have the same display dimensions and are used in the same way. The version with glass has slightly larger overall dimensions (only the glass has a border that is larger than the e-paper panel), but the active display area is the same on both panels.
The main difference between the panels lies in the device’s appearance. The glass panel completely covers the top, hiding the casing from above. The other panel has a plastic border that ensures the devices look as similar as possible and keeps the panel in place.
