Inkplate partial refresh latency on 6" and 10" screens

Customer:

I’m designing an eink typewriter driven by the Raspberry Pi Pico. Do you have a video showing typing latency on either the 6" or 10" Inkplate screens? The eink displays I’ve tested to date advertise 300ms partial refresh but it isn’t true, it’s more like 700ms+.

Soldered Support:

The partial update times for Inkplates vary, but approximately are:

  • Inkplate 6 264ms
  • Inkplate 10 620ms
  • Inkplate 6PLUS 640ms
