Joystick 2-axis breakout compatibility with open-source spacemouse project

Customer:

I’m building a custom 3D mouse from a Printables.com project:

The project requires four joystick sensors. The author recommends the Teyleten Robot dual-axis controller. I’d prefer to use the Joystick 2-axis with pushbutton breakout from Soldered instead. Would it be compatible with the project without code changes?

Soldered Support:

The Joystick 2-axis with pushbutton breakout should be fully compatible with the project both hardware and software wise. Both joysticks follow the PS2 joystick standard and offer the same pinout and voltage level. The dimensions of the Soldered breakout board are a little larger and more square than rectangular, but there appears to be adequate space in the 3D printed model. You may need to make a small configuration adjustment for the screw holes.
