I have a question about a Li-ion battery charger with protection. What are OUT+ and OUT- used for? I see that a load connects to them, but why? Personally, I have a switch after the battery and using series terminals I have connected B+ - + battery + switch pin (also B- - battery and GND to the step up converter). Is my construction correct (without using OUT+ and OUT-) and what would they be used for in my case?

Pozdrav, imam pitanje vezano za punjač za li-ion bateriju sa zaštitom. Čemu služe OUT+ i OUT - ? Vidio sam da se na njih spaja teret, no iz kojeg razloga? Osobno, imam prekidač nakon baterije te pomoću rednih stezaljki imam spojen B+ - + baterije + nožicu od prekidača (također B- - -Baterije i GND na step up konverteru). Je li moja konstrukcija ispravna (bez korištenja OUT+ i OUT-) te za što bi se oni koristili u mom slučaju?

OUT+ and OUT- are used for powering your circuit. The battery connects to BAT+ and BAT-.
If you connect directly to the BAT+ and BAT- pins, you are using the battery protection built into the board. This is acceptable if your lithium battery already has its own protection (in which case you could have used a charger without protection), but if the battery has no protection, it is dangerous to use the charger and battery this way and you can permanently damage the battery. Battery protection is something that cannot be compromised.

It is better to place the switch on the OUT+/OUT- output rather than directly on the battery.

OUT + i OUT - koriste se za napajanje strujnog kruga. Na BAT+ i BAT- spaja se baterija.
Ako se spajate direktno na BAT + i na BAT- pinove, onda se koristite zaštitu za bateriju koja je ugrađena na pločicu. To je u redu ako Vaša litijska baterija već ima zaštitu(a onda ste mogli uzeti i punjač bez zaštite), no ako je baterije bez zaštite, opasno je koristiti punjač i bateriju na ovaj način, a možete i trajno oštetiti bateriju. Dakle, zaštita na litijskoj bateriji je nešto bez čega ne ide.

Prekidač je bolje staviti na OUT+ / OUT- izlaz nego direktno na bateriju.
