MQ Sensor 5V power requirements with multiple sensors

Customer:

I have multiple MQ-Sensors and want to use them with Dasduino Core, Dasduino LITE and Nula Max boards. According to the sensor documentation it needs 5V. Do I have to connect the 5V pin additionally to the board (not only easyC) as shown in your documentation?

Soldered Support:

You do not have to connect the 5V pin, as the sensor breakout itself has a voltage regulator and boost to 5V. The pins you are referring to on the breakout is used for a UPDI programmer, which we use when programming the onboard ATTiny during assembly. It can come in handy if you are daisy chaining multiple MQ sensors, as that can cause a voltage drop on that line, so the 5V pin can be used to provide a stable voltage to those sensors.
