NCV7329 LIN Transceiver code examples and UART communication

Customer:

I’m planning to use the NCV7329, but I can’t find any documentation, projects or software packages for it on your website.

Soldered Support:

You can find an overview of the LIN transceiver and its hardware files at Welcome | Soldered Documentation

The transceiver expects UART data, which it internally converts into LIN format, so no external library is needed—you can just send UART to it. Customer:

What I’m looking for are project examples or code to send LIN signals. The connection and wiring to the microcontroller is clear, but the specific functions to use to sync with the LIN or to send the specific signal are not clear.

Soldered Support:

This chip converts UART into a LIN signal and vice-versa. Code-wise it works the same as communicating between two microcontrollers using UART. You can change the baud rate as needed. If using Arduino, you can just call Serial.read() and Serial.write() to communicate. The library linked previously shows how the code looks and the functions involved.
