Customer:
I was wondering if the standoffs at the corners can be removed and the best method to remove them (soldering iron, etc.). These are physically interfering with other features in my project, so I want to remove them for more space.

Soldered Support:
Yes, the standoffs at the corners can be removed, but please note that it’s easy to accidentally damage the board or screen during removal if not done carefully.
The recommended method is to use a soldering iron with a sufficiently large tip to heat the standoff thoroughly. You can also add a bit of fresh solder to make heat transfer easier. Once the standoff is heated enough, it should come off easily with a gentle pull or using tweezers. Be cautious, as the part can get very hot and may cause burns if touched directly.
Alternatively, some have successfully removed them by using a smaller tip, heating the standoff for about 15 seconds, and gently pushing it out — this method might actually reduce stress on the PCB.
