Customer:
I’m unable to find the schematic for the Inkplate 5 Gen 2 online. I’m trying to power and use the SD card using my own firmware in the ESP-IDF framework. Without the schematic, I’m unsure if I’m powering it correctly and I’m receiving non-descript errors.
The hardware documentation says “coming soon”. Could the schematic be made available? Are there any examples of using an SD card on an Inkplate 5 Gen 2 with the ESP-IDF framework I can reference?

Documentation for Inkplate 5 Gen 2 has been published at: Inkplate 5V2 – Hardware design | Soldered Documentation - this links directly to the hardware section.
For ESP-IDF, there is a community implementation available: GitHub - turgu1/ESP-IDF-InkPlate: A porting effort to the ESP-IDF framework for the e-Radionica InkPlate software. · GitHub
The guide for it can be found at: Inkplate Get Started Page — Inkplate docs documentation
While we don’t provide official ESP-IDF examples, our primary supported framework for Inkplate is Arduino, which offers the most complete implementation for writing sketches.
