hello! i’ve bought several of your 555082 desoldering pumps from Mouser, and have mostly loved them, finding them the best value for that sort of pump around.
do you sell replacement tips for this pump?
i’m also interested in recommendations as to how to preserve its lifespan as long as possible. i do a lot of heavy desoldering work on vintage electronics, oftentimes with oxidized/grimy solder joints (though i do my best to clean beforehand), and it can be a bit rough on these pumps, but i also rely on them quite a bit.
the main issue i run into is that the inside of the tip gets coated with thin layers of solder over time, and eventually the metal pole on the plunger can’t clear it, and i have to use some sort of tool; this gets worse over time as the inside of the tip gets more and more rough.
perhaps some sort of grease or lubricant would delay this issue and make the solder stick less to the inside of the tip?
thanks!
i am wondering if perhaps there is some sort of grease or lubrication
