USB keyboard input with Inkplate displays

Customer:

Are there any Inkplate products that have a USB keyboard adapter built in? If not, which Inkplate would you recommend that has both fast refresh and keyboard capability?

Soldered Support:

We don’t have a built-in adapter, but we’re working with ZeroWriter for custom PCBs soon.

For keyboard capability with fast refresh, you can use Inkplate 5gen2. Even faster options include Inkplate 6FLICK (which also has a touchscreen), or 4TEMPERA (smaller square format). See the comparison at Zerowriter Ink | Crowd Supply

All are ESP32 based, so you can find connection guides specific to that platform.

For the fastest option, Inkplate 6MOTION has the best USB support since it’s STM32 based with USB-OTG pins, letting you connect a USB keyboard most easily using STM32duino examples (which run on the device): Inkplate 6MOTION | Crowd Supply
