Soldered Support:

Based on your information, the current consumption is very small (50mA over 18 months), and you can solve this problem in several ways:

a) Always have a source that will charge the internal battery, with cables drawn from the battery as you suggested
b) Same as (a), but powered from another, larger battery

You have a source (battery or wall adapter) which goes through a charger to the battery. According to the datasheets you provided, the charger should charge with very small current. In this document: https://industrial.panasonic.com/cdbs/www-data/pdf/AAA4000/AAA4000COL17.pdf on page 2, first figure, the row for VL2330 shows that the battery should be charged at 3.5V with a 180ohm resistor in series. The diode protects against current backflow and a regular voltage regulator can be used here.

You need:
a) a power source
b) a voltage regulator set to 3.8V
c) a Schottky diode
d) a 180ohm resistor

If your source is an AC adapter, you can easily lower the voltage to 3.8V with a regulator: Step-down modul s LM2596S – Soldered Electronics

You can always use a Schottky diode: Soldered: Open-Source Electronics, Boards, Sensors & Modules – Soldered Electronics

And a 180ohm resistor of any power rating.

If your source is another battery, it’s best to use an LM317 and tune its output to 3.8V: https://e-radionica.com/hr/lm317-podesivi-regulator-napona.html

Dakle, trebate:
a) izvor
b) regulator na 3.8V
c) schottky diodu
d) 180ohm otpornik

Schottky dioda uvijek možete koristiti Soldered: Open-Source Electronics, Boards, Sensors & Modules – Soldered Electronics
i 180ohm otpornik bilokoje snage
