333017 Logic Level Converter: configuring unused pins and OE control

Customer:

I want to control a 5V LED strip from a 3.3V Arduino using the 333017 logic level converter. I assume VCCL is 3.3V and VCCH is 5V. The GPIO output pin routes to B1 and the LED strip connects to A1, with grounds tied together. Should the unused pins B2-B4 be tied to ground or 5V? And how should I use the OE pin?

This breakout is well-suited for your application. You can refer to the documentation for detailed information.

The output is active when the OE pin is set HIGH (VCCH will work fine). The pins B2-B4 correspond to A2-A4, and if you aren’t using them you can just leave them floating. An LED strip will typically use only 1 pin, such as with WS2812b LEDs.
