Can 4TEMPERA run with blue power LED turned off?

Dear Soldered team,

I happily received an Inkplate 4Tempera today and successfully started it with a first program.

One question, though: Must the blue LED always be on when the 4Tempera is on? I realised by experimenting that when I press the I/O button and turn the LED off, the 4Tempera is effectively turned off. I wonder if there is a way to have the device to the works it’s programmed to do with blue LED off. Upon thourough search, I found no mention of this in the documentation.

Pressing the I/O buttons turns the Inkplate completely off.

There is a Power LED switch on the PCB itself which you can use to turn just the LED off. You will have to disassemble the device to get to it though. It’s circled red in the picture below.
