CONNECT programmer not flashing ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, no RX LED activity

Customer:

I bought the CONNECT programmer and it’s not working. It’s connected to a desktop with Win11Pro and I have the driver installed. I’ve connected a PCB with an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1. I can’t flash a program into it. The Power LED on the CONNECT programmer is OK and the TX LED is flashing when trying to flash a program into the ESP32, but the RX LED is not flashing. What could it be?

Soldered Support:

We tested uploading a sketch to the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1 module using the connections described in the documentation with ESP32S3 Dev module board selected and had no issues. For the LEDs, both TX and RX should be flashing - the RX LED may be weaker so you might not notice it. Check that your TX and RX wiring is correct.

Confirm that you installed the CH340 drivers. Also make sure you can see the ESP32 in your device manager as a Serial port when connected to your PC through the programmer.
