Croduino NOVA to Arduino UNO serial communication

Customer:

I’ve successfully connected my Croduino NOVA board to the internet and retrieved data from a server. Now I need to forward that data to an Arduino UNO board, but I’m unable to achieve this.

Original message (Croatian)

No to nikako nemogu postiči.

Soldered Support:

To communicate between the boards, you need to make a physical connection using RS232 (theoretical range 15m, though practically not recommended beyond approximately 5m depending on conditions).

Connect the following pins:

  • Common ground
  • Tx to Rx
  • Rx to Tx

You can find the pinout for both products on our website.

For communication, use the Serial library with Serial.begin(). The baud rate must be the same on both controllers. Send strings using Serial.println().

On the Arduino UNO (MEGA), read with:

if( Serial.available ) String string_s_nove = Serial.readString();

if( Serial.available ) String string_s_nove = Serial.readString();
