Customer:
I purchased 6 Dasduino kits, but none of the microcontrollers worked. I replaced the microcontroller with another one I had and it worked without problem. What is the USER button used for?

To help investigate the issue with your kits, could you provide a few more details? Were you able to upload code to the boards? Does the microcontroller show up as a COM port on your computer? Have you installed our Arduino board definitions? Please refer to the Getting Started Guide: Arduino - Arduino Quick Start Guide | Soldered Documentation
Customer:
I’ve downloaded the board definition from the URL and everything is working. I only have a question about when the purple LED and the D1 SMD LED marked as IO8 turn on.

[name removed] excelente día, muchas gracias ya descargué la placa con el URL y todo bien, sólo tengo duda cuando prende el led morado y el led D1 smd marcado como IO8.

Can the red, blue, white, and purple LEDs be controlled through code? For example, the blue LED works with output 1.

Los led rojo, azul, blanco, morado se pueden manipular por medio del programa? Como ejemplo el led azul funciona con la salida 1.

When this board definition is selected, here’s an example of how to drive the built-in WS LED:
// LED Fade Example for Dasduino Board definitions
//
// Original library by AdaFruit Industries, modified by Soldered
#include "WS2812-SOLDERED.h"
WS2812 pixels(1, LEDWS_BUILTIN);
int brightness = 0; // how bright the LED is
int fadeAmount = 5; // how many points to fade the LED by
void setup()
{
pixels.begin(); // INITIALIZE NeoPixel strip object (REQUIRED)
}
void loop()
{
pixels.setPixelColor(0, pixels.Color(brightness, 0, brightness)); // Set the color of built-in WS2812 RGB LED
pixels.show();
brightness = brightness + fadeAmount; // Change the brightness for next time through the loop:
if (brightness = 255) // Reverse the direction of the fading at the ends of the fade:
{
fadeAmount = -fadeAmount;
}
delay(30); // Wait for 30 milliseconds to see the dimming effect
}

Thank you for the code to control the IO8 LED. My question now is why the D2 PWR LED doesn’t turn on.

This LED will always be on while the device is on and can be enabled by connecting JP3. Put some solder on JP3 to bridge the two connections and it should light up.
If you want a user-controlled LED, it’s on pin 13. You can use digitalWrite(13, HIGH); to turn it on.
