Dasduino CONNECTPLUS shows 'None on COM' in Arduino IDE status bar

Customer:

I purchased 22 pieces of Dasduino CONNECTPLUS. I have two questions:

  1. Why doesn’t Arduino IDE recognize the Dasduino CONNECTPLUS? I can upload sketches and everything works, but it constantly shows “None on COM5” (or some other port). There’s no change in the bottom status line when I disconnect the USB cable or plug it in - it always says “None on COM” - yet it sends data to the Serial Monitor.

  2. What is the User button on the board for? The Reset button is next to it.

Kupio sam 22 komada Dasduina CONNECTPLUS. Molim vas odgovor na dva pitanja:

  1. Zašto Arduino IDE ne prepoznaje Dasuino CONNECTPLUS, prenosim na njega skice i sve radi, ali stalno piše: None on COM5 (ili neki drugi). Nema promjene na donjoj statusnoj liniji kada iskopčam USB kabel, ili ukopčam, uvijek piše: None on COM, a šalje podatke na Serial Monitor?

  2. Čemu služi User tipka na pločici, tipka Reset je pored nje?

For the COM port issue: Which OS are you using? Do you have the CH340 drivers installed? This is worth doing unless you’re on Mac, then skip it: https://soldered.com/hr/learn/instalacija-ch340-drivera-croduino-basic3-nova2 The Dasduino CONNECTPLUS should work over the Serial port. Try a different USB cable and a different physical port on your computer.

Ovo s COM portom je zanimljivo, koji OS koristiš? Imaš li CH340 drivere instalirane? Ovo bi bilo dobro napraviti, osim ako imaš mac, onda preskoči: https://soldered.com/hr/learn/instalacija-ch340-drivera-croduino-basic3-nova2 Dasduino CONNECTPLUS bi trebao svakako ići preko Serial porta. Everything works on the Dasduino, it just reports that it’s not connected when it is. I have Windows 11, but the same happened on Windows 10. I tested on two computers, everything works except that the bottom status line of the Arduino IDE window constantly shows: “None on COM3” or another port.

Dasduinom radi jedino javlja da nije spojen a je, imam Windows 11 ali isto je i na Windows 10. Probao sam na dva računala, sve radi, osim što stalno piše na donjoj statusnoj liniji prozora od Arduino programa: None on COM3 ili drugi port

This might be an Arduino bug. I’d recommend trying an older version (1.8.x, scroll down on this page: https://www.arduino.cc/en/software).

If it’s just a cosmetic error, you should be able to continue working as is.

zanimljivo, može je bug do Arudina. Preporučio bi možda isprobati i stariju verziju (1.8.x, skrolati dolje na ovoj stranici: https://www.arduino.cc/en/software)

Ako je samo kozmetička greška, onda mislim da se može nastaviti s radom i ovako :slight_smile: Moram priznati da nisam osobno vidio ovo. Sretno s projektima!

Customer:

I have Arduino 1.8.19 and on a third laptop it also shows “None on COM3” while everything works. It might just be an Arduino version issue. What version are you using where this doesn’t appear?

Poštovani, imam Arduino 1.8.19 i na trećem laptopu isto javlja: None on COM3 a sve radi. Može biti samo do verzije Arduina, na kojoj verziji vama to ne piše. LP

Everything looks OK. “None on COM3” just means it can’t pull the board name, but it detected that something exists on COM3.

For the Dasduino ConnectPlus, I get the same message too. So actually everything is fine.

sve mi izgleda OK, None on COM3 mislim da samo znači da ne može povući naziv boarda, ali da je detektirano da nešto postoji na COM3.
