Displaying Google Calendar with battery-efficient refresh

Customer:

Do you have sample solutions that are easy to implement to display a Google calendar and refresh a number of times a day to save battery? I found an idea that required a Raspberry Pi to work (GitHub - speedyg0nz/MagInkDash: E-Ink Magic Dashboard that runs off a battery powered Inkplate 10; displaying content from Google Calendar, OpenWeatherMap and OpenAI that are retrieved and rendered by a Raspberry Pi. · GitHub) but was hoping you had other options.

There’s an example sketch for Google Calendar available: Inkplate-Arduino-library/examples/Inkplate10/Projects/Inkplate10_Google_Calendar/Inkplate10_Google_Calendar.ino at master · SolderedElectronics/Inkplate-Arduino-library · GitHub

Make sure you upload the one relevant to your Inkplate model. This sketch should work but is a bit outdated and has some memory limitations. You’ll need to enter WiFi data and Google Calendar data in the sketch. You can also adjust the delay time between screen updates.

You can turn off the blue LED to save even more power via a switch on the back of Inkplate.
