Soldered Support:
The KiCad files are available. KiCad is a free program you can use to inspect the schematic.
Customer:
I’m researching electrochemical sensors for a university project. I typically use a normal three electrode circuit design for an H2 electrochemical sensor. I noticed Soldered’s gas sensor breakout uses different circuitry with conversion to I2C. Will it work the same if I use Soldered’s gas sensor breakout instead? I plan to connect the sensor to an ESP32 and get the data from it. Is this possible?
Soldered Support:
If the H2 electrochemical sensor is compatible with LMP91000, then it should work. The LMP91000 is the analog front-end for this sensor, and onboard is the ADC which measures the output of the analog front-end. This IC in combination with the ADC does the conversion to I2C. You can use the breakout, insert your sensor, and use the Library to configure it according to your electrochemical gas sensor’s datasheet. Check the detailed documentation on this product.
