ESP32 CONNECT PLUS upload fails with timeout waiting for packet header

Customer:

We are using 6 ESP32 CONNECT PLUS boards with participants. All laptops are running Windows 11 with AMD processors.

We frequently experience problems uploading programs. The error messages are of this type:

Sketch uses 218252 bytes (16%) of program storage space. Maximum is 1310720 bytes.

Global variables use 13384 bytes (4%) of dynamic memory, leaving 314296 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 327680 bytes.

esptool.py v3.0-dev

Serial port COM1

Connecting……..…..…..…..…..…..….._____

A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header

Failed uploading: uploading error: exit status 2

I’ve confirmed that I’ve selected the correct board and port. I’ve read about a solution involving soldering a 10uF capacitor to the Enable pin (what is that?). We need help because we’re losing a lot of time restarting the computer, which doesn’t help anyway.

Poštovani, javljam se u ime Udruge theničke kulture Galileo Galilei. Koristimo 6 komada ESP32 CONNECT PLUS sa polaznicima. Laptopovi su sa Windows 11 i AMD procesorima.

Vrlo često imam problema sa UPLOAD-om programa. Poruke su splijedećeg tipa :

Sketch uses 218252 bytes (16%) of program storage space. Maximum is 1310720 bytes.

Global variables use 13384 bytes (4%) of dynamic memory, leaving 314296 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 327680 bytes.

Naravno, odabrao sam dobru pločicu i port. Čitam o rješenju da se zalemi 10uF elektronit na nogicu Enable (koja je to ?) .

Molimo za pomoć, jer gubimo puno vremena za restartanje računala, koje isto ne pomaže.

Soldered Support:

Check the upload speed in Arduino’s Tools menu. We use 115200:

Here are some other things to check:

  • Are you using the USB cable that came with the Dasduino? That should be good enough. Not all USB cables are made equally and some lose contact or don’t allow sufficient current.
  • Have you tried a different USB port on the same computer? Some ports can be better than others.
  • Do you have any components connected to the Dasduino? If something is connected to the RX/TX pins, it could cause disturbances on those lines.

Feel free to send a screenshot of that Tools menu so I can check your configuration.

ovdje sam da pomognem. Možeš li provjeriti ‘upload speed’ u Arduino ‘Tools’ izborniku?
